14th of October: the First day!

The appointment for the start of our Ride With Us tour is at 8.30 in front of the Municipio di Marghera.

When the area will start to be crowd for the usual weekly market we will take our Bicicloni and will start to ride.

We expect to have some friends starting with us from Marghera.

In particular we are really honored to have with us Filippo Giorgi. Filippo is the Head of Earth System Physics at the International Center of Theoretical Physics, Abdus Salam of Trieste. He was Vice Chair of the IPCC WG1 during the preparation of the IPCC 4AR, that won the IPCC Nobel  prize in the 2007.

Filippo will pass a long day with us, riding to Schio where he’ll offer a fantastic opportunity to students and citizens of a high lesson (it means, high clarity of high scientific concepts) on climate change.

With Filippo will ride with us also our friend Gilberto. He had not the possibility to spend all the day with us, but he’ll join us for the 18 km that he usually ride everyday going at work.

We plan to pass in Camisano around at 11.00 am, where a large group of friends decided to join us for the second part of our daily ride, and then we’ll stop around noon in Piazza dei Signori at Vicenza, close the main office of Girolibero, one of the most active technical sponsor of our project.

Just the time to eat something and recover some energy and then a very large group will ride in direction of Schio where the high school students are waiting for us.

Around 5.30 pm (cycling time…) Filippo Giorgi  will offer to students and citizens a very interesting lesson on climate change followed by a Girolibero representative speaking on the tourism by bicycle.
